DIY Pedicure

Okay ladies, it's time to get those cracked and calloused feet sandal/beach ready!!!!

The best evening:  watching your favorite television show in your pajamas while doing a pedicure!

Pedicure Tools:
Non-acetone nail polish remover
Foot spa soak (Footloose & Fancy Fizz Bubbly Foot Bath – BathandBodyWorks.com)
Toenail nippers (Sally Hansen )
Nail files/orange sticks/toe separators/cuticle remover
Nail buffers (Colorful Nail Buffers – Sephora.com)

Begin by placing your feet in a warm spa soak.  This helps to loosen dead skin cells prior to exfoliating.    As one foot is soaking, remove the polish from the other foot using a cotton ball soaked in the non-acetone polish.  Use a gentle exfoliating cream and massage into one foot and up the calf for additional benefits.  Gently use a pumice stone to remove calluses.  Using toenail trimmers, cut your toenails straight across to avoid ingrown nails.  Leave enough length so the skin underneath is not exposed.
File each toenail in one direction to remove any snags and obtain the desired shape.  Buff each nail to remove ridges and create a clean nail for the polish.  Rinse each foot to remove any debris.  Dry your feet and nails well.  Place a toe separator on each foot.  Apply a clear base coat, then two coats of your desired shade of polish, allowing each coat to thoroughly dry.  Finish with a top coat for the shine you crave.

Now sit back and relax while you wait for your toenails to thoroughly dry!!  Trust me - your 'significant other' will thank you.....
