Sunday 06.21.15

Today is Father’s Day, the day proclaimed to honor the men in our lives.  I am a firm believer that we should honor one another daily, for the spiritual, emotional and physical influential roles that key male figures have played in our lives.

I am thankful for my father, grandfathers, brother, uncles, nephews, cousins, husbands and male friends that have had a direct or indirect affect upon my spiritual and core values.  They have all helped to set my life compass.  While we may not have always seen things in the same light, I was aware of an abiding love for my individuality, even though they found that frustrating at times.  I’ve never been afraid to stand for what I believed.

Because of the men in my life, I have a deep faith that has sustained me on this journey.  I know the value of helping others and how it is returned three fold.  I have a strong work ethic and take pride in my accomplishments.  I give myself permission to make mistakes and know it is not the worst that could happen.  I know how to laugh and enjoy playful times.  I hope you take pause today to reflect on the male influences in your life, whether positive or negative, it still has an affect upon you and influencing your authentic self.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the men that have wondered into my life!!!
